Intended use
1.
The airbrush gun is designed to spray paint, transparent ink and watercolours that have an
extra-fine pigment. You should only connect the gun to a compressor or another suitable
source of compressed air.
The airbrush gun is a fine spray gun for graphic designers, retouchers and model makers.
The size of the gun’s nozzle makes the airbrush gun particularly suited to creating fine
details and small areas of shading. The double-action mechanism (paint and air feeds are
regulated by means of a common operating element) guarantees easy handling and the
finest paint and airflow control.
For safety purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this
product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous

playing material for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,

moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
•
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect
•
it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
is visibly damaged,

is no longer working properly,

has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
-
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage

the product.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions for the devices connected as sources

of compressed air.
When using tools while you are working with your airbrush gun, observe the safety
•
instructions from the tool manufacturer(s).
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s Liability
•
Insurance Association are to be observed.
In schools, training centres, hobby and do-it-yourself workshops, trained personnel must
•
supervise any work involving the airbrush gun in a responsible manner.
Always use suitable respiratory protection when working with the airbrush gun.
•
Make sure that the place where you are working is sufficiently ventilated.
•
Do not smoke or eat while you are working or in the direct vicinity of where you are
•
working.
When using paints that contain inflammable solvents, there is a risk of explosion.
•
Therefore avoid naked flames and sparks.
Miscellaneous
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.

Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or
•
at a qualified shop.

Screw the glass container 22 ml or the metal container 7 ml onto the airbrush body. Note

the orientation of the container. The cap of the container must always face upwards.
Connect the compressed air hose of your compressor to the hose connection (6) on

the airbrush gun.
Fill the paint cup with paint, diluted as required. The paint should be considerably

more diluted than when used for painting with a normal brush. It should have a milky
consistency.
Now the airbrush is ready for use.

Operation

Switch the compressor on.

Before you start spraying the object you want to paint, it is advisable to do a test on
2.
a piece of cardboard or sheet metal in order to set the appropriate working pressure
on your compressor and to test the paint consistency. You can find the recommended
working pressures for the different airbrush guns in the technical data section.
Set the working pressure to a high level at first. Then do a spray test and keep reducing
3.
the working pressure until the spraying result is no longer sharp. Then raise the working
pressure again by about 0.5 bar.
The correct working pressure depends on the consistency of the paint, the
•
nozzle size and the airbrush gun itself.
The lower you set the working pressure, the narrower the spray becomes.
•
If the working pressure is too low or there is too much paint, this causes
spotting.
When spraying, the amount of paint and the air supply are controlled at the
•
same time by the trigger lever (double-action principle).
The compressed air flows out as soon as you press the trigger lever. The
further back you pull the trigger lever, the more paint is fed into the spray
nozzle.
With the adjustment screw, you can restrict the distance that the needle
•
moves backwards and thus limit the amount of paint. This is particularly
useful if you want to keep the width of the spray constant (e.g. for lines).
Make sure that the airbrush gun is always held at a right angle to the object
•
being sprayed.
For fine details, reduce the spraying distance and decrease the working
•
pressure. For spraying large areas, increase the spraying distance and raise
the working pressure correspondingly. When doing this, make sure that you
do not exceed the recommended maximum pressure. This can damage the
airbrush gun.
