Intended use
The DVB-T antenna is used to receive and strengthen digital, terrestrial broadcast TV and
radio signals.
It is licensed only for connection to the antenna inputs of appropriate receivers.
Only the enclosed power pack unit or the 5V-phantom power of a receiver may be used as
power supply. The power supply must be connected only to 230 V / 50 Hz alternating voltage.
The product may be used only in enclosed indoor locations, never outdoors. Do not expose to
moisture, under any circumstances.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.
No part of the product may be modified or converted.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

Safety Instructions
First, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain im-
portant information about the proper operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product is not
permitted.
• The power supply unit has been constructed according to Protection Class II and may be
operated only on a public power supply outlet.
• Never touch the power supply unit with wet or damp hands. There is a life-threatening electric
shock hazard!
• Never replace a damaged connecting cable of the power pack. If the connecting cable is
damaged, the power adapter is unusable and must be disposed of. Do not repair it.
• To disconnect it completely from the mains, the mains plug has to be removed from the mains
socket.
• The manufacturer’s safety instructions for devices to be connected must also be observed.
You should, therefore, also carefully read other relevant operating instructions.
• Do not operate the product if it is damaged.
• This product is not a toy, and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children cannot see
the danger arising from the incorrect use of electrical devices.
• Never pour out fluids above electrical devices. Do not place any containers with liquids, such
as buckets, vases or plants, in the immediate proximity of the product. Liquids could get in-
side the housing and thus impair electrical safety. There is danger of fire or a life-threatening
electric shock! If a liquid has entered the device, switch off the respective socket (e.g. switch
off circuit breaker) and pull the mains unit from the socket. Afterwards the product must no
longer be used. Please take it to a specialist.
• The device may not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations, high humidity
(e.g. droplets or splashes of water) or strong mechanical stress.
• Do not place open flames, such as burning candles, on or close to the device.
• Use the device only in temperate climate regions and not in tropical ones.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for
children.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to connect it safely,
consult a trained technician.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions, please con-
tact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
Set-up
Do not drill any additional holes or screw any additional screws into the hous-
ing when mounting the appliance, as doing so could damage it.
When setting up the antenna, make sure that it has a secure footing and is on
a stable surface, as people could be injured if the device falls down.
Avoid placing the DVB-T antenna near devices which can transmit interference
(e.g., microwave ovens, cordless phones, powerful engines, etc.).
You should also not install the device close to large metal surfaces, because these
may strongly weaken the received signal.
Place the antenna at the highest possible location, since experience shows that
this is where the reception is best. Installing it close to a window may also improve
reception.
• Insert the stand into the corresponding borehole on the rear of the casing. There is one
borehole pair each for the vertical or horizontal set-up.
• Place the antenna on a flat surface.
Connection and Getting Started
The antenna cable of the antenna may be connected only to the antenna in-
puts of the corresponding receivers.
Use only the power supply unit enclosed in the package or the 5V-phantom
power of your receiver (if available) to supply the power.
Connect the power adapter only to a normal mains socket connected to the
public supply.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains volt-
age can cause serious electric shocks, which can be fatal.
Make sure that the current designation on the power adapter agrees with the
mains voltage of your power supply. Never try to operate the power pack on
any other voltage.
Make sure that the connecting cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges when making the connection.
The mains socket to which the power pack is connected must be nearby and
easily accessible, so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains power
supply in the event of a fault.
