Connect the satellite bowl to the
receiver
The satellite receiver has a standardized F connec-
tion jack (6). Here, connect your bowl cable which
arrives from the satellite bowl or a multiswitch.
The satellite receiver supplies an output voltage of
14 – 18 V D .C. and a maximum current of 300 mA
at the F connection jack (6). Connect your satellite
receiver only to a properly installed satellite
system. When installing a satellite system note the
relevant safety instructions which apply, for
instance, to grounding and require to be observed
during installation. Therefore, the satellite system
should be installed only by an outhorized expert
electrician who is conversant with the relevant
regulations.
Connect to the mains
Verify all connection steps taken once again and correct errors, if any.
Insert the satellite receiver mains plug into a 230 V A.C. / 50 Hz domestic mains
socket.
Re-plug the TV set, video recorder, etc. into the mains.
How to handle
Use the remote control unit
The functions of the set may be operated via the
remote control unit. The distance of action of the
remote control unit is abt. 7 m, as a maximum. The
angle of coverage of the infrared reception indicator
eye on the receiver is abt. 30° towards each side.
Always hold the remote control unit towards the infra-
red reception indicator eye (1) on the receiver. Then,
press the key you desire on remote control unit.
