15. Maintenance and Cleaning
Maintenance or repairs may only be carried out by a specialist or a specialised repair shop.
There are no components on the inside of the product that need maintenance by you, this is
why you should never open it (apart from the described approach to insert or change the
batteries, in these instructions).
To clean the exterior of the weather station, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Dust on the weather station can be easily removed with the help of a long-haired, soft and clean
brush and a vacuum cleaner.

Do not press too hard on the display, as this may cause scratch marks or lead to
faulty display of data.
Use a slightly damp soft cloth to remove dirt from the outdoor sensor.
Never use aggressive cleansing agents or other chemical solvents since this may
damage the surface of the housing or even impair operation.
16. Replacing Batteries
• A battery replacement is necessary if a small battery icon appears on the display of the
weather station or the outdoor sensor, or if there is no display visible any longer.
• During a battery replacement of the weather station, all settings and all saved information
gets lost. Here, proceed as described in Initial operation in Chapter 9.
• If the batteries in the outdoor sensor are changed, then press the "TX" button (20) after you
have inserted new batteries in the outdoor sensor battery compartment.
