Intended Use
The product generates high-frequency sounds that are not audible to humans. Martens perceive these
sounds as disturbing and unpleasant so that they will avoid the location of the product and its vicinity.
Power is supplied by 4 batteries of type Baby/C.
The product is splashproof and can be used outdoors.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of companies and

operating instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases, the warranty will be null
and void.

approval reasons (CE).
• This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy me-
chanical stress.
• Do not use the product in rooms that are under adverse environmental conditions, where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• The product is splashproof and may be used outdoors. However, it must never be used in or
under water, as this will destroy it.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
General information on batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk that they could be swallowed by
children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin can cause acid burns; there-
fore, use suitable safety gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces
coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged. Thus, store batteries/rechargeable
batteries in a suitable location.
• Ensure that the batteries/rechargeable batteries are never short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into a fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge recharge-
able batteries; use a suitable battery charger.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay attention to plus
and minus signs).
• In the case of disuse for a longer period of time (e.g., storage), remove the batteries/rechargeable batteries
inserted in the product. With old batteries/rechargeable batteries there is also a risk that they may leak
which will cause damage to the device; loss of warranty!
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries. Use either batteries or rechargeable batteries with
the marten repeller.
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable ones or batteries with different charge levels. Always replace
the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries/rechargeable batteries, please read the chapter “Dis-
posal”.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment at the bottom by unscrewing its fastening screw.
• Insert 4 batteries of type Baby/C with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Put back the battery cover and tighten it again.
• A battery change is necessary when the LED no longer lights up when the marten repeller is switched on.
If you still wish to use rechargeable batteries in the marten repeller, you should only use NiMH
batteries with low self-discharge. Otherwise, the operating duration will be very short.
We recommend the use of high-quality alkaline batteries when outside temperature are low.
NiMH batteries are very temperature-sensitive, which can shorten the operating duration further.
Mounting and start-up
Mount the product so that animals inside the effective range of the sound signal can escape. The
product must never be mounted close to cages or kennels, or similar, with animals inside.
The marten repeller can be mounted to e.g. the side of a carport using 4 screws. You can also secure it with
cable ties or place it in a horizontal position in a suitable location.
The emission angle of the sound signal is 140° (cone-shaped starting
140°
from the piezo-sound generator at the top). Position the marten repel-
ler so that it aligns with the desired area.
Do not place the marten repeller on the floor as rain may cause it to be in or under water. This
will damage the marten repeller, loss of warranty!
Press the “ON/OFF” button on the top side of the marten repeller to switch it on or off. When the device is
switched on, an LED at the top indicates its functionality.
The marten repeller generates a sound signal with a frequency of approx. 23 kHz which is emit-
ted in intervals (10 seconds on, 30 seconds off). The LED is illuminated when the signal sounds,
it is dark when the signal is off.
Normally, this sound is not audible to the human ear.
For martens (and other animals) however, which hear at this frequency range, this audio signal
is very disturbing.
If the LED is not illuminated (illuminated for 10 seconds, off for 30 seconds afterwards), replace
the batteries for new ones or check that the batteries are inserted correctly (observe plus/+ and
minus/-).
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance. Do not disassemble it (except for inserting/replacing the
batteries). Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an expert.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as these can cause discol-
ouration. Do not press too strongly on the surface when cleaning, to prevent scratch marks.
Disposal
a) General
The product must not be disposed of in the household waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with the current statutory
requirements; e.g., return it to any suitable collection point.
Remove the inserted batteries (or rechargeable batteries) and dispose of them separately from
the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that dis-
posal in the domestic waste is forbidden.
You can return used (rechargeable) batteries free of charge at the official collection points in
your municipality, our stores, or where ever (rechargeable) batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
