(24) Recording level indicator
The recording level indicator supplies information about the output level of the chan-
nels. The indicator should, as far as possible, not exceed the "0dB” value as other-
wise distortion of the music signal can occur. The indication is separate for each
channel. The instrument denoted with "LEFT” indicates the recording level of the left
channel, the instrument denoted with "RIGHT” the recording level of the right chan-
nel.
(25) MASTER fader
Using this control, you can set the level at the OUTPUT outputs (32).
Control in position "0"
= minimum level
Control in position "10"
= maximum level
(26) MASTER LOW/HIGH switch
With the aid of this switch, the output level of the mixer can be changed-over from
0.775V (LOW) to 1.5V (HIGH). Using this switch, you can carry out a basic setting of
the output level and in this manner adapt the output level of the mixer to the input of
the downstream amplifier.
(27) PRE-SET MASTER control
Using this control you can carry out in addition to the MASTER LOW-HIGH switch
(26) a basic adaptation of the output level.
(28) Mains cable
(29) Earth screw terminals
To prevent buzzing tones, an earth connection can be made through this screw ter-
minal between the mixer and the earth cable (mostly black cable with clamp-type
socket) of the record player.
(30) Fuse holder
(31) "REC” 1/2/3/ outputs
The same output signal is pending at the three unsymmetrical stereo cinch outputs
REC 1 to 3. The RECORD signal is the mixed audio output signal of the mixer (just
like the MASTER signal). The RECORD signal is, however, not influenced by the
"MASTER" control. Recording devices such as, for example, cassette decks or tape
recorders can be connected to these jacks and the mixer signal recorded.
The output level of the REC jacks is influenced by the individual channel slide con-
trols and the PRE-SET control (16).

HEADPHONES headphone jack (9)
Connect a stereo headphone a 6.3-mm jack bushing to the headphone jack. The
headphones should have an impedance of 600 Ohm as otherwise mismatches can
occur.
Connecting the start outputs
Two start-switch outputs START 1 and START 2 are available. You can use these
outputs for the starting control of your record player or CD player (as long as these
devices have a starting feature). Connect a start switch input of your record play-
er/CD player to the 6.3-mm mono jack bushes START.
Connecting the voltage supply
Pay attention to the correct earth connection. Do not use an
extension cable where the earth connection is missing (danger to
life!).
The mixer and all connected devices have to be switched off.
Socket
Insert the mains plug of the mixer into a 230V~/50Hz mains
socket customary in the household.
