9. REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND CARE
It is convenient to check the bicycle by a specialist from time to time.
The time between reviews depends on the use given to the bicycle.
In addition, the specialist checks all the bicycle components pointing
out if it is necessary to replace some component.
It is out of guarantee any change of defective items caused of the ride
of the bicycle.
Even though the regular time, the bicycle is checked by a specialist, is
advisable to make simple control checks of the most important parts:
Stem:
check the correct adjusted of the locknut and the stem scew.
Breaks:
check and adjust in case of necessity. Replace the brake shoes
and brake pads.
Saddle:
check saddle is properly assembled and mínimum seat post
insertion line is inside the frame.
Pedals:
check the axile of pedals and ensure the right assembled of the
cranks.
Tires:
if necessary check and pump up using the air pump. The right
pressure is pointed out in the lateral tire. Replace the tire in case of wear.
Clean the bicycle regulary. Is suggested to use sponge or soft and wet
cloth, using a specific cleaner solution for bicycles.
