Taking out of Operation
When the device is taken out of operation the state
regulations must be observed.

Warranty
The warranty period for this device is 24 months from the
date of purchase.
It includes free correction of defects that are demonstrably
due to the use of faulty material or manufacturing defects.
The warranty expires due to:
•
own repairs and repair attempts on the device
•
unauthorized change of the device
•
damage caused by interference by third party
•
damage due to non-following the operating
instructions
•
connecting to an incorrect voltage or current type
•
incorrect operation due to negligent treatment
•
willful destruction
The manufacturer must be informed immediately about the
warranty case before returning the unit to the manufacturer.
Return back the device to the manufacturer with complete
accessories, in the original packaging and add a fault
description.
Disorder
If it can be assumed that a safe use is not possible, then the
device must be taken out of operation and secured against
unintentional operation. This is necessary if:
•
the device shows visible damage
•
the device is no longer functional
•
parts inside the device are loose
•
connecting cables show visible damage.
•
iquid has run into the device
Updating the CMx2
The firmware of the CMx2 HDMI media converter can be
updated at any time and easily via the USB-B socket (USB
video).
In addition, for both versions, the firmware of the Ethernet
board can be updated via the USB-B socket (USB Ethernet).
