AM/FM Reception
It is very important to understand what is shown on the digital readout:
1. Preset Number Indicator
Shows which preset station that has been selected .
2. Band Indicator
Shows which band the radio is tuned to . AM, FM 1, 2, 3 or Weather Band
3. Frequency Indicator
Shows which frequency the tuner is tuned .
REMARK
:
The radio has been divided into four bands; FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM . There are 9
positions available for each band to preset favorite stations . Each of the three FM
bands are shown as FM1, FM2 or FM3 . However, it doesn’t mean the FM has been
divided into three equal frequency ranges .
How to select the Radio Reception Mode
Push the [BAND] button and the unit will switch to Radio immediately . Or, push the
[FUNCTION] button until [RADIO] shows on the digital readout .
How to preset the desired station to the selected pushbutton
To preset 89 .3 MHz at No .6 of FM3 band . The user needs to switch to FM3 band
first and push [UP] or [DOWN] tuning button to tune to 89.3 MHz. Then pushe and
hold the No. [6] button until 6 FM3 89.3 MHz flashes twice on the digital readout. The
station has now been preset
How to recall the preset stations
If one station has been preset at No . 5 position at the band of FM2, and this station
is desired, then push the [BAND] button until FM2 shows on the digital readout, and
then push the No [5] button .
Auto search for an available station
Push [|

] or [

|] to auto search for an available station at a lower or higher
frequency near the current station . When this function is applied, the unit will stay at
the selected station until another operation is applied .
Auto search through all the ranges of the FM or AM bands
Push [
tt
] button .
The unit will keep searching until any available station from a higher to lower
frequency is found . When a station is found, the unit will play it for 5 seconds to
let the user have the option of keeping it or not . When the unit is auto searching,
pushing any button will release the unit from this function .
