OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the kettle from the base (7), press the button for opening the lid (4), open the
lid (1), fill the appliance with cold water within the
permitted maximum
only. If the
water level in the kettle is under the recommended minimum, the kettle will keep
overheating and turning off prematurely.
Note:
Make sure that the lid (1) is closed properly, otherwise the kettle could not turn
off automatically.
2. Place the kettle on the base (7); electric contacts will get connected automatically.
Thanks to the central connector design (Fig. 1), the kettle can
turn around 360°
and be
put on the base from any side.
3. Connect the base to the mains.
4. Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch (6) (Fig. 2).
A control light on the switch (8) signals the kettle is in operation. The kettle lid (1) must
be properly closed when water is being heated.
WARNING!
Do not open the lid during heating and immediately after heating is over. Hot steam
could scald you!
5. When the preset temperature is reached, the kettle turns off automatically and the
operation indicator light goes off. You can interrupt heating water any time by turning
off the switch (6).
6. Remove the kettle from the base (7) and use the hot water.
7. If you want to reheat the water you have just finished boiling, wait for approximately 30
seconds before reactivating the switch (6).
8. The kettle filter captures all potential impurities while pouring water.
Note:
It is not a sign of a defect if a few water droplets appear on the kettle base (7). It is
a small amount of condensed steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Limescale removal
Impurities from water build up during normal use. These sediments can be perfectly
removed from the kettle by using preparations designed for removing limescale (observe
the producer’s instructions) or using the following procedure:
1. Pour 0.5 litre of vinegar into the kettle and top up with water. Leave the solution in the
kettle overnight.
Do not boil!
2. Pour out the contents, and clean the remaining sediment using a wet cloth. Fill the
kettle with clean water, boil it and pour it out again. Repeat the procedure once more.
The kettle is then ready for continuing operation.
