Storage of foods
Your appliance is equipped with the accessories as shown in the picture above. These instructions will help you to
correctly store food. The glass shelves can be removed if necessary.
Dairy foods and eggs
Most packaged dairy foods have a “best before date / use by date on packaging”.
Store them in the refrigerator compartment and use them within the specified period.
Butter can be contaminated by strongly flavoured foods, so it is best to store it in a sealed container.
Eggs should be stored in the refrigerator compartment.
Red meat
Place the fresh red meat on a plate and cover it loosely with wax paper, plastic packaging or foil.
Store cooked and raw meat on separate plates. This will prevent contamination of the cooked product with the juices
from the raw meat.
Poultry
Fresh whole poultry should be rinsed inside and out with cold running water, dried and placed on a plate. Cover it
loosely with plastic packaging or foil.
Poultry cuts should also be stored in this way. Whole poultry should never be stuffed before cooking, otherwise there
is a risk of food poisoning.
Fish and seafood
Whole fish and fillets should be processed on the day of purchase. It is not required to refrigerate the additional
purchase on a plate loosely covered with plastic, waxed paper or foil.
If you plan to store fish overnight or longer, take special care to select very fresh fish.
Whole fish should be rinsed with cold water to remove loose scales and debris and then dried with paper towels. Place
whole fish or fillets in a sealed plastic bag.
Always keep shellfish in a cool place. Consume it within 1-2 days.
Pre-cooked foods and leftovers
These should be stored in suitable containers with covers in order to prevent the food from drying out. Store for 1-2
days only. Reheat leftovers only once and only until steam begins to rise from the food.
Vegetable drawer
The vegetable drawer is the optimal place to store fresh fruits and vegetables.
Be careful not to store these fruits at temperatures below 6 °C for long periods of time: Citrus fruits, melons, pineapple,
papayas, passion fruit, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes.
Undesirable changes occur at low temperatures, such as flesh softening, browning or accelerated decay.
Do not refrigerate avocados (until ripe), bananas and mangoes.
