When having your vehicle serviced, loaning to others, or having it valet parked, it is recommended that your FT-CHR be placed in Valet Mode. This will help prevent
your vehicle from accidentally remote starting.
To turn Valet Mode On turn the vehicle’s key to the ‘run’ position and tap the valet button 3 times. Remote start will no longer function.
To turn Valet Mode Off repeat the above procedure. Standard remote start will function again.
Important: You must place your system into Valet Mode before servicing by a technician.

Troubleshooting
If remote start turns off for any reason you will receive a shutdown error.
Firstech, LLC. warrants to the original purchaser that this product shall be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and circumstances for the period of 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Firstech,
LLC. is not responsible for any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to any consequential damages, incidental damages, damages for loss of time, loss of earnings, commercial loss, loss of economic opportunity and the like
that may or may not have resulted from the installation or operation of the FT-CHR Data Controller. Not withstanding the above, manufacturer does offer a limited warranty to replace or repair the control module as described above.
The product warranty is automatically void if the date code and/or serial number is defaced, missing, or altered or product is tampered with. The warranty will not be valid unless you have an accompanying bill of sale.
