Wiring Details
Details
Grey: (-) Programmable Output
- This is a (-) negative programmable output that can function as one of 4 different outputs. This
output can be set via the user’s smartphone or website interface. This wire is not required in Type 2 installations.
1: Trunk Pop - The wire will send a half (0.5) second negative pulse to activate the vehicle’s electric trunk release.
2: Starter Kill - The wire will latch with a constant negative output until the user sends the command again from their website
interface or smartphone.
3: Panic - The wire will send a half (0.5) second negative pulse a total of 30 times. This can be used to trigger the vehicle’s horn.
4: Headlights - The wire sends a latched 45 second negative output. This is typically used for headlight supervision or to draw
attention to the vehicle.
Violet: (-) 5 Pulse Alarm Trigger Input
- If this wire receives 5 negative pulses within 8 seconds the system will send an alarm triggered
notification to the web interface or smartphone. This wire is not required in Type 2 installations.
Orange: (-) Remote Start Trigger Output
- When the start command is sent from the smartphone or web interface this wire will send a
(0.5) second negative pulse to the aftermarket or Firstech remote start. This wire is not required in Type 2 installations.
Serial Data Adapter
The Serial Data Adaper (DR-SDA) is used when connecting to a Firstech compatible remote start. This will eliminate a
majority of the hardwire connections from the DR-1000 to the vehicle and or remote start control module.
Plug the Data Adapter to the Serial Port on the DR-1000. Tighten the two screws down on the Data Adapter. Use the
included 4 to 4 pin cable to connect the adapter to the RS232 port (Black Port) on the Firstech control module. Do not plug
into the Blue Port on the CM5 or CM6 series control module. This will result in damage to the DR-SDA. Note: you must still
connect the Red wire to (+)12V Constant and Black wire to (-) Chassis Ground.
