Managing the Fibre Channel SAN Switch 2/16

for a serial connection to the switch. Some tests require the ports to be connected by 
external cables, to allow diagnostics to verify the serializer/deserializer interface, as 
well as the attached SFP and cable.

All diagnostic tests are run at link speeds of both 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps. For information 
about the specific diagnostic tests and how to run them, refer to the StorageWorks by 
Compaq Fabric OS Procedures User Guide Version 3.0, Part Number 
AA-RQ6EA-TE.

NOTE:  The transmit and receive speed of the links may be temporarily locked to a specific 
speed during diagnostic testing.
