Removal and Replacement Procedures

Server Feature Board

To remove a Server Feature Board:

1. Complete the preparation procedures. Refer to “Preparation Procedures” earlier in this

chapter.

2. Remove the front bezel. Refer to “Front Bezel” earlier in this chapter.

3. Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” earlier in this chapter.

4. Disconnect any cables connected to the Server Feature Board.

5. Remove the expansion slot retainer. Refer to “Removing an Expansion Slot Retainer”

earlier in this chapter.

6. Remove the screw securing the Server Feature Board to the chassis (1), and then pull the

Server Feature Board out of the server (2).

NOTE: The Server Feature Board is located only in slot 6.

To replace the Server Feature Board, reverse steps 2 through 6.
