7.7.1 802.1x/ RADIAS
802.1x is an IEEE authentication specification that allows a client to connect to a wireless
access point or wired switch but prevents the client from gaining access to the port until it
provides authority, like a user name and password that are verified by a separate server.
7.7.1.1 Misc Configuration
1.
Mode:
Enable or disable 802.1 x protocols.
2.
Quiet Period:
Set the period during which the port doesn’t try to acquire a supplicant.
3.
TX Period:
Set the period the port waits for retransmit next EAPOL PDU during an
authentication session.
4.
Supplicant Timeout:
Set the period of time the switch waits for a supplicant response
to an EAP request.
5.
Server Timeout:
Set the period of time the switch waits for a server response to an
authentication request.
6.
ReAuthMax:
Set the number of authentication that must time-out before authentication
fails and the authentication session ends.
7.
Reauth period:
set the period of time after which clients connected must be
re-authenticated.
