• When operating the unit at altitudes over 7000 feet  

(2134 meters) above sea level the unit may not burn 
as bright as lower altitudes. This is normal. At higher 
altitudes, the heater may shut off. If this happens, make 
sure there is fresh air, wait 5 minutes and re-light. Due to 
local atmospheric conditions heater may not re-light. 

• Operating time will vary based upon the conditions 

including temperature, heater settings and cylinder 
size.16.4 oz./465 g. (1.02 lb.) cylinder should last  
3 - 4 hours on high setting. (depending on conditions 
such as amount of gas in the cylinder and temperature  
of tank and surrounding areas).

 

When using the unit as a stove, be sure the cooking 

utensil being used is stable on the cook top surface 
and will not to fall or tip over and injure surrounding 
individuals. 

• Keep area clear and free from combustible materials and 

other flammable vapors and liquids.

• Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation of air.
• When operating properly, the flame should be blue 

coming out of the burner orifices and flame tip should be 
about 1/4" (6.4 mm) with some yellow flames rising out of 
the flame tips. Yellow flames mixed in is OK as long as 
no carbon or soot appears. It is normal that the mesh will 
glow shades of orange during operation and the cook-
top burner vents may get red.

• Clean unit when it appears dirty or when performance 

seems to diminish.

• To clean, make sure heater/stove is cool.  

Disconnect propane tank from regulator. Remove gas 
hose from heater/stove using two wrenches as described 
in “Lighting and Operating Instructions".  
Wipe unit clean with a soft cloth and dish detergent.  
Do not use abrasive cleaners on the unit. Allow unit to dry 
completely before use.
