 WARNING

• This product is fueled by propane gas. Propane gas 

is invisible, odorless and flammable. An odorant is 
normally added to help detect leaks and can be 
described as a “rotten egg" smell. The odorant can 
fade over time so leaking gas is not always detectable 
by smell alone.

• Propane gas is heavier than air and leaking propane 

will sink to the lowest level possible. It can ignite 
by ignition sources including matches, lighters, 
sparks or open flames of any kind many feet from the 
original leak. Use only propane gas set up for vapor 
withdrawal.

• Propane gas should be stored or used in compliance 

with local ordinances and codes or with ANSI/NFPA 58. 
Remove propane canister when not in use.

 DANGER

EXPLOSION - FIRE HAZARD

• Never store propane near high heat, open flames, 

pilot lights, direct sunlight, other ignition sources or 
where temperatures exceed 120° F (49° C).

• Follow all instructions and warnings listed on the 

propane canister.

• Propane is heavier than air and can accumulate 

in low areas. If you smell gas, leave the area 
immediately.

• Never install or remove propane tank while control 

knob is any ON position, unit is lighted, near flame, 
pilot lights, other ignition sources or while outdoor 
stove is hot to the touch.

• During lighting and operation, this product can be 

a source of ignition. Never use the unit in places 
that contain or may contain volatile or airborne 
combustibles or products such as gasoline, solvents, 
paint thinner, dust particles or unknown chemicals. 
Minimum clearance from combustible materials:

  Top 

36 in. (92 cm)

  Sides  24 in. (61 cm)
• Provide adequate clearances around air intakes in to 

the combustion chamber.

• If a cooking fire should occur, keep away from unit 

and immediately call your fire department. Do not 
attempt to extinguish an oil or grease fire with water.

• Never leave heater/burner unattended when hot or  

in use. 

• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater/burner 

is used by or near children or invalids. Keep out of 
reach of children.

• Do not move the unit while lit. Use extra care when 

touching carry handle while unit is hot, severe burns 
can result.

FOR RECREATIONAL USE ONLY

It is impossible to foresee every use for this product. If 
you have any concerns about the use of this product in 
your environment, contact your local fire safety authority.
Additional standards govern the use of fuel gases and 
heat producing products for specific uses. Your local 
authorities can advise you about these standards.
• Never refill disposable propane cylinders.
• Only use the regulator that came with your unit. Do 

not adjust the regulator.

• Check all fittings for leaks during setup using soapy 

water. Never use a flame.

• Never leave heater/burner unattended when hot or  

in use.

CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD

• This heater/burner is a combustion appliance. All 

such appliances produce Carbon Monoxide (CO) 
during the combustion process. Do not block air flow 
into or out of the heater/stove.

• Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning produces flu-like 

symptoms, watery eyes, headaches, dizziness, 
fatigue, nausea and possibly death. You can not see 
or smell Carbon Monoxide gas. It is an invisible killer. 
If these symptoms are present during the operation of 
this heater/stove, get fresh air immediately!

• FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
• Never use inside house, camper, tent, vehicle or 

any other enclosed areas. This heater consumes 
air (oxygen). Do not use in unventilated or enclosed 
areas to avoid endangering your or others lives.

 CAUTION

MAINTENANCE SAFETY

• Keep all connections and fittings clean. Inspect propane 

cylinder and connections for damage before attaching.

• During setup of your unit, check all connections and 

fittings for leaks using soapy water. Never use a 
flame. Bubbles in the water indicate a leak. Check 
that your connections are not cross-threaded and that 
it is tight. Preform another leak test. If there is still a 
leak, remove the cylinder and contact Comfort Zone® 
for service or repairs.

• Use as a temporary heating/cooking appliance only. 

Never alter the unit in any way or install any device or 
part not included with your unit.

• Clean your unit frequently to avoid any debris build-up.
