For rear-facing use, seat may be rotated toward side of vehicle
(fig. e)
to assist in securing and removing infant.
- Lift recline lever and rotate seat to side.
- Place child in seat or remove child.
- Rotate back and lock into the rear-facing position.
If seat does not rotate, check that:
• Harness shield is properly secured and shoulder harness straps
are properly stored.
• Seat back is not contacting vehicle headrest.
• Vehicle seat belt is routed through belt path channel in base.

• Car seat MUST be locked in position when vehicle is in motion.
• NEVER travel with seat facing to the side. Seat MUST always be
locked in the rear-facing or forward-facing position.
• When rear-facing, infant MUST face the rear of the vehicle.

Place harness straps over child’s shoulders and thighs.
Buckle Harness:
- Place top of buckle tongues together
and insert
buckle tongues into buckle
(fig. f)
. You should
hear a click.
- Pull up on tongues to be sure they are locked.
NOTE:
A green indicator will appear in the window below
the buckle release button when tongues are locked
in the buckle and a red indicator will appear in the
window below the buckle release button when the
tongues are not locked in the buckle.
Pull harness adjuster strap

to snugly adjust shoulder harness
straps.
- Check that shoulder harness straps are snug on shoulder and thighs.
Straps should not allow a finger to pass between the belt and the
child’s shoulder.
- A snug strap should not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively
straight line without sagging. It does not press on the child’s
flesh or push the child’s body into an unnatural position.
NOTE:
If harness can not be snugly adjusted as described above,
do not use this car seat.
Close chest clip and position chest clip at arm pit level
