Removing and Replacing Panelling
13.1
Lid Assembly Maintenance Position
13.1.1 Introduction
The Lid Assembly can be fixed into a maintainence position which is upright at 90 degrees to
the chassis. When in this position all parts of the Lid and the SingleSensor housing can be
accessed.
13.1.2 Safety Precautions
Ensure that the power and USB cables are completely disconnected from the scanner unit.
Ensure the scanner is positioned on a stable maintenance platform.
13.1.3 Tools
Medium Pozi-drive screwdriver.

13.1.6 Procedure
1.
To raise the lid,
remove the 3
x M5 screws holding the left
end Gas Piston Bracket to
the Lid Assembly, making
sure not to drop them into the
scanner.
Note: This can be carried out with or without
the Top Lid Cover fitted. To remove the lid ,
follow the
instructions in chapter “13.4 Top

Remove the 3 x M5 screws
holding the right end Gas
Piston Bracket to the Lid
Assembly making sure not to
drop them into the scanner.
