Replacement of brake components requires professional knowledge. Brake service should be performed by a

Operating with improperly adjusted brakes could lead to a loss in braking ability and an accident.

The brakes can be very hot after prolong use of the vehicle and can cause burns. Wait for the brake to cool down.

Loosen the locknut's (#2)

Adjusting bolt's (#1).

Adjusting bolt's (#1) in direction (a) to increase the lever freeplay, and in direction (b) to decrease it.

Tighten the locknut's(#2).

While applying the front brake the upper and lower cable lengths should be equal .

The cable joint(#4) will become vertical.

How to adjust brake lever freeplay upper

Adjusting front brake lever freeplay upper

The front brake lever freeplay must be checked and if necessary adjusted at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and

lubrication chart. The brake lever freeplay should measure 9.3-13.3 mm (0.37-0.52 in) as shown.
