5. As you close the door you will notice the occlusion bed moves toward
the rotor and contacts the tubing. Once the door is closed and it
appears to have any excess tubing, open the door and remove excess by
opening one of the retainers and gently pulling on the tube. Next,
release the retainer and close door, Figure 2-2. Repeat again if necessary.
Figure 2-2.
Door Closed - Automatically Sets Occlusion Bed
CAUTION: Do Not pull the tubing too tight. Do not pinch the
tubing to cause it to be closed off.
6. When pump and tubing are in place, turn the pump "ON" and let
the unit rotate a few turns. The tubing may bunch up, you will need
to take up the slack, see note in Step 5.
Connect the external power supply to the applicable input voltage source
and the output of the external power supply to the DC input connector
on the pump unit.
NOTE:
The Power Supply output connection is center positive (+).
Terminals 1 and 2 on the rear panel barrier terminal strip, Figure 1-3,
provide a means for connecting a remote DC power source. The positive
(+) terminal is terminal 1. The negative (–) terminal is terminal 2.
NOTE:
Input voltage must not exceed 15V DC or equipment may be
damaged. A minimum of 11V DC is required for proper operation.
