If the directory exists but there are no valid files to upload the display will show,

NO FIRMWARE
FILES FOUND!

If a USB flash drive is inserted that does contain valid files the display will change to,

SELECT FILE
NG648_GB.000

The lower line displays the software version of the file that is about to be uploaded.

NOTE: It is imperative that the correct version of software for the machine is selected
otherwise correct machine operation cannot be assured.

Pressing the



(UP) or



(DOWN) key will select any alternative software versions that are

also available. Once you have the necessary software version selected press ENTER to
confirm you wish to upload or press ESCAPE to cancel.

57.

There are three stages which occur when ENTER is pressed. The first is verification that
the file has valid contents

. If it doesn’t have valid contents the operation is aborted but if it

does then the memory storing the old software is erased. Finally the board is programmed
with the new software. Once completed successfully the display will show,

IF ESCAPE is pressed or there is a problem with the programming the display will show,

REMOVE ENG’ LINK

Once the Engineer’s link is removed there will be three short beeps before the machine
then restarts with the newly programmed software.

After programming it is always necessary to SET FACTORY DEFAULTS so that the
machine is running with valid data. On start-

up the ZMCU’s memory is scanned for

corruption or misalignment and if detected it will prompt the user to set the factory defaults.

to within the SET FACTORY DEFAULTS menu where you can select the defaults you
require.



NOTE: The corrupt FRAM warning only occurs when the structure of the memory is

not correctly in place and therefore is most often utilised for uninitialized boards. It is not
guaranteed to trigger on each programming of the board so it’s important to remember to
set the defaults regardless to ensure the machine works as expected.
