9. INSTALLING THE LIGHT
PLATE
NOTE: Before starting installation, disconnect
the power by turning off the circuit breaker or
removing the fuse at fuse box. Turning power
off using the fan switch is not sufficient to
prevent electric shock.
Step 1. Remove the 1 of 3 screws from the
mounting ring and keep it for future use.
Loosen the other 2 screws (Do not remove).
Step 2. Raise and hold the light plate close to
the mounting ring, put the wires from the fan
through the central hole of light plate (Fig. 14),
and then place the light plate key holes over
the 2 screws previously loosened from the
mounting ring, turn light kit until it locks in
place at the narrow section of the key holes,
secure the light plate by tightening the 2
screws previously loosened and the one
previously removed.
Step 3. Proceed the wire connections:
Connect the white wire connectors from the
light kit and fan. Follow the same procedure
with the black wire connectors.
Step 4. Carefully push all wires back into the
concave inside the light plate, place the wire
cover onto the light plate by placing the key
holes on the wire cover over the 3 screws
already located in the light plate, be sure to
place the light wire on the indentation of wire
cover to avoid scratch. Turn the wire cover
until the screws lock in place at the narrow
section of the key holes. Secured with the 3
screws. (Fig. 15)
