Getting Started

High/Medium/Low (H-M-L) Power Button

Your radio can transmit selectively at 1, 3 or 6 (or highest allowed
ERP setting in GMRS mode) watts of power. Cobra suggests you
maintain the low power setting for short-range communications.
You will conserve battery life and avoid overpowering nearby
stations with a low power setting signal. Use the high power
setting for long-range communications or when you do not
receive a response to a signal sent at 1 watt.

To Toggle Between H-M-L Power Modes:

Press and release the

H-M-L Power

 button. The LCD

will show which mode is in effect. Some channels are
restricted for a maximum use of 1 watt. Your radio will
automatically set the power to

Low Power

mode

when you select those channels.
