UMD/Tally Color/Text Source Controls
Provides controls to set UMD text and color sources
from TSL protocol/tally, or to obtain from User Entry
(Text Layout page).
Note: Unless changes here are to be applied to all PiPs or screens, make certain the desired PiP is selected in PIP Select,
and make certain Screen/PiP Ganging Controls is set to desired screen/PiP. See Screen/PiP Ganging Controls (p.
3-11) for info on setting controls for screen/PiP only or wholesale ALL settings.
• Screen Select (Option +DUAL only) Selects the Screen to be set up using the controls
on this tab.
Note: This control can be set to gang both screens using the Screen/PiP
Ganging Controls (p. 3-11).
• PiP Select Selects the PiP to be set up using the controls on this tab.
Note: This control can be set to gang all PiPs using the Screen/PiP
Ganging Controls (p. 3-11).
• Enable Tally Icons Enables insertion/use of standard tally “lamp” icon (rounded-corner
square “lamp” icon).
Note: Per TSL protocols, tally activation can be tied to color changes or
other attributes. Enabling icons here is specifically tied to icon
graphic insertion.
• UMD Text Source Select Selects UMD text source from TSL Protocol automation, or sets UMD to
use static user-entered text in conjunction with Text Layout tab/page (p.
3-17).
• UMD Color Source Select For text, outlines, and background colors, individually allows color source
to be selected from Tally sources, or use static user-entered color choices
in conjunction with Text Layout tab/page (p. 3-17).
The Tally 1 thru Tally 4 choices allow prioritization of TSL tally number
items to assert over lower numbers (example: If Tally 1 is active over Tally
2, attributes/actions associated with Tally 1 are asserted).
