Depth Gauge Display
The depth gauge display has 3 displayable
parameters:
• Air Temperature
• Water Temperature
• Depth
If the depth gauge does not receive a signal for any
of the display parameters for more than 20
seconds, the display changes the value for that
parameter to all dashes (-). Each display parameter
has its own timeout and can be used as a visual
indicator to determine if a sensor is inoperative.
Basic Sounder Finder Operation
Press and hold either left or right button for more
than 3 seconds to enter setup mode. Once in setup
mode, holding either button for more than 3
seconds will cycle the setup function to the next
parameter. Inactivity for more than 10 seconds will
end the setup mode.
KEEL SETUP:
Keel offset is the difference
between the location of the transponder on the hull
of the boat to the lowest point of the keel. The Keel
setup display is indicated by “I-EEL”. The right
button increases the Keel value by 0.1 count. The
left button decreases the keel value by 0.1 count
each time pressed. The maximum Keel value is 5.0
and the minimum value is -5.0.
DEPTH ALARM SETUP:
Depth Alarm setup is
indicated by “dEEP”. The right button increases the
Depth Alarm value by 0.1 foot and the left button
decreases the value by 0.1 foot. The maximum
value is 200 feet. The minimum value is 0.0 feet.
SHALLOW ALARM SETUP:
Shallow Alarm setup
is indicated by “SHAL”. The right button increases
the Shallow Alarm value by 0.1 feet and the left
button decreases the value by 0.1 feet. The
maximum value for Shallow Alarm is 20.0 feet and
the minimum value is 0.0 feet.
ENGLISH/METRIC SETUP:
In this mode, the
display will indicate the current unit of measure for
depth, water and air temperature. The right button
selects English. The left button selects metric.
2. OIL (Engine Oil Pressure Gauge) -
Measures
the pressure of the engine’s lubricating oil, in
pounds per square inch (PSI). Refer to the engine
operator’s manual for correct specifications.
Many serious engine problems are reflected on oil
pressure gauge readings. If the pressure is lower
than the manufacturer’s specification, immediately
shut off the engine. Have your authorized Cobalt
dealer correct the problem before operating the
engine.
3. TEMP (Engine Water Temperature Gauge) -
Indicates the water/coolant temperature inside the
engine. Refer to the engine operator’s manual for
normal operating temperature. After starting the
engine, check your temperature gauge for
abnormally high readings. If the reading is outside
the manufacturer’s operating range, immediately
turn off the engine. An abnormally high
temperature is the result of cooling water system
blockage. See your authorized Cobalt dealer when
experiencing a high engine temperature reading.
A
WARNING
Avoid injury or damage to the boat. DO
NOT use the depth sounder for
navigation.
