The Cutting Diagrams show how each piece of lumber is to be broken down. The components are
numbered in the order they are assembled. Due to the moisture that is required for growing, it is
recommended that all cuts be treated with an end-cut wood preservative.
• The dimensions of this raised Garden Box can be altered to
suit the user's preferences.
• The assembly sequence will work as long as all side and end
boards are uniform in length.
• This design has extended posts to anchor the box and keep
the side walls from bowing outward.
• The centre post is not required on any side of the box that is
less than 5' long.
• Pressure-treated wood is specified in the plans but cedar is a
good preservative-free alternative.
4x4 Pressure-Treated Post
One (1) post 10' long is required for component #1.
2x6 Pressure-Treated Lumber
Six (6) boards 8' long are required for components #2 and 3.
