6-37, Page 6-23) and (Figure 6-38, Page 6-23) . Secure with bolt, washers and locknut. Thread the locknut onto
the bolt just enough to keep the clamps and short spacer in place (Figure 6-39, Page 6-23) .
3. Install the long spacer and align with the mounting hole by temporarily inserting a mounting bolt (Figure 6-31,
Page 6-21) . Tighten the locknut, installed in the previous step to secure the cable clamps, to 240 in-lb (27
N·m). Remove the bolt used to align the long spacer.

4. Attach the compensator link to the park brake handle with clevis pin, washer and cotter pin (Figure 6-40, Page
6-24) and (Figure 6-41, Page 6-24) .
5. Route the cable to the rear caliper along its original path.
6. Place park brake handle into chassis bracket and secure with the two bolts, washers and two locknuts. Tighten
the locknuts to 156 in-lb (17.6 N·m).
7. Install the caliper end of the cable into the caliper park brake lever (Figure 6-26, Page 6-20) .
8. Slide the sheath ferrule through the hole in the caliper bracket (Figure 6-25, Page 6-20) and secure with e-clip.
9. Secure the cable P-clamp to the top of the trailing arm with screw previously removed (Figure 6-23, Page 6-20) .
10. Finish installing the remaining park brake cable if necessary.
11. Adjust the park brake. See Park Brake Adjustment on page 6-25.
