Open the gas valve on the gas cylinder
•
Press the control knob down and turn it counter clockwise till it
clicks in place (LOW). Simultaneously push the electric igniter.
The electric igniter should make a continuous clicking sound.
•
Release the electric igniter as soon as the fire ignites; keep the
control knob pressed down for 15 to 20 seconds. Then release the
control knob
•
Use the control knob to adjust the flames. Turn the knob counter
clockwise for higher flames and clockwise for smaller flames.
•
If the burner does not start, wait at least 30 seconds and repeat
the above procedure.
•
Use only the electric igniter to ignite the fire, never use a match
or a lighter for this purpose.
•
To turn off the Clifton, turn the control knob into the "off"
position and close the gas valve on the cylinder. Be careful when
touching any hot surfaces.
Maintenance:
•
The unit must be inspected before each use and at least once a
year by a certified gas fitter.
