Countdown timer
Press the Timer button (2) to set the timer. Choose a time between 1 to 180 minutes (in 1-minute steps) with
the + and - buttons (6, 7). The hob enters standby mode automatically when the set time has run out. You
can change the timer at any time using the + and -.
Preset heat levels
Press the Preset button (5) to choose a preset heat level. The corresponding indicator lights up

Overheating protection
The overheating protection is activated if the temperature has increased to about 270 °C. An error code
"E05" is displayed and the plate turns off automatically. Unplug the power cord if the error code appears.
The overheating protection can for instance be triggered by heating empty cookware.
Cleaning
Always unplug the power cord before cleaning the hob. Clean the hob and thermometer after use. Wait
until the plate has cooled down. Use a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Leave to dry. Never soak the hob in
water.

Safety information
Keep in mind that the plate gets warm when used and stays warm a while after use.
Keep in mind that the hob may require up to 2100 W. Avoid using extension cords not suited for this high
power.
Do not move the hob while using it or while it is hot.
Do not boil dry.
Do not put metal objects such as knives, cutlery or lids on the plate. Never put paper or other flammable
materials on the plate.
Do not use the hob if the glass surface is cracked or damaged.
Do not block the air vent and make sure that the air flow is free.
Do not use the hob close to objects affected by magnetism such as radios, TV sets or credit cards.
Do not immerse in water.
Do not leave the hob unsupervised when using it.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Persons with pacemakers are advised to stay at least 60 cm from an active plate.
