Special Rafter Assembly Instructions
During the assembly of each rafter, position the UPPER end of each rafter segment—this is the end that does not
include the pre-punched purlin mounting holes—to the top of the rafter assembly. Consult the diagrams below and all
rafter diagrams throughout this manual before you begin.
Correct position of rafter segment. Position the purlin
mounting hole as shown when connecting the rafter
segments during the rafter assembly steps.
Insert (above right) shows the incorrect position of
the rafter segment.
INCORRECT POSITION
Lower end of each rafter segment
includes purlin mounting holes.
DO NOT CONNECT THE LOWER
END TO THE CHEVRON.
Upper End
Upper ends do not
include purlin mounting
holes and are positioned
at the top of the rafter
assembly and connected to
