FRAME ASSEMBLY (CONTINUED)

10. Continue adding rafters and purlins until the frame is

assembled.

NOTE:

Remember to slide a band clamp onto each

bottom purlin between the second and third rafters at

the remaining end of the shelter.

11.  Finish each purlin with one 73.5” pipe and use the final

end rafter to complete the assembly.

MOUNTING BOARD INSTALLATION

The mounting board is supplied by the customer. For this

example, it is attached

above the bottom purlin

 along both

sides of the frame

on the inside of the frame.

 Consult the

diagrams in the Quick Start section to view the mounting

board installed below the lower purlin.

ATTENTION:

Use the pivot wheel assembly to measure

the required height of the mounting board.

Building frame

must rest on all rafter legs when the wheel assemblies are

in the retracted position.

Gather the parts: (All mounting boards and fasteners are

supplied by customer.)
•  2" x 6" (or larger) boards at required length
•  Fasteners to secure mounting boards to frame
•  1/4" x 4" carriage bolts and 1/4" nuts

NOTE:

The following procedure describes one way to

install the required mounting boards. The size and type of

the boards chosen may require the use of alternative steps.

When properly installed, mounting boards run the length of

the shelter on the inside of the frame.

1.  Measure the board height needed using the wheel

assembly in the retracted position and mark the

locations on the rafter legs.

NOTE:

Building frame must rest on all rafter legs when

the wheel assemblies are in the retracted position.

2.  On the inside of the frame, attach the first board to the

end rafter

using two (2) carriage bolts and hex nuts.

NOTE:

DO NOT allow the mounting boards to extend

beyond the end rafter. Boards must be flush with end

rafter.

View shows the frame from the outside.

above the lower purlin. Consult the diagrams in the Quick

Start Guide to view the mounting board installed below the

lower purlin.

Either application is acceptable.

 Consider the

building use when attaching the mounting boards.

NOTE:

To prevent cover damage, DO NOT allow the

purlin to extend beyond the end rafter.

12. Return to each clamp and install a Tek screw through

the clamp and into the purlin pipe as shown.

13. Secure each clamp to the rafter using a Tek screw.
