Filling the Water Reservoir
CAUTION!
■
Always switch off the device before you
fi
ll the water reservoir.
■
Never pour any cleaning agent or additives into the device. This could destroy the
device and safe working is no longer guaranteed.
We recommend that you pour preferably distilled water into the water reservoir in
order to prevent calci
fi
cation, particularly if your tap water is very hard.
1. Pull the seal plug (

) off the water reser-
voir (
11
).
2. Pour cold, clean water into the measuring
cup (
6
) that is also supplied.
3. Pour the water into the water reservoir.
The reservoir holds up to 400 ml.
4. Insert the seal plug as far as it will go into
the opening of the water reservoir.

CAUTION!
■
DANGER OF SCALDING! Never aim the steam at people, animals or plants.
■
DANGER OF SCALDING! Only hold the device by the handle when you are using it.
■
DANGER OF SCALDING! After you switch off the device, hot steam may continue to
emerge for a few seconds. The cleaning foot, the
fl
oor cloth and the carpet glider will
then remain hot for a little while. Be aware of this and continue to handle the device
with care immediately after it has been switched off!
■
Before using the device, always check the
fl
oor cloth for signs of wear. Do not use
it if it shows any signs of wear or if it is damaged. Your
fl
ooring could be damaged.
■
Use the device only if it is in good working order, has been fully assembled and the
fl
oor cloth has been attached.
■
Never direct the steam on one spot for longer than around 10 seconds. This may
damage the surface.
We recommend that you sweep the
fl
oor with a broom or clean it with a vacuum
cleaner before doing any steam-cleaning.
1. Attach to the cleaning foot the
fl
oor cloth and, if you want to clean a carpet, the carpet
glider (see the "Assembly" chapter).
2. Fill the water reservoir (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" chapter).
3. Fully unwind the mains cable.
4. To make it easier to handle the device, place the mains cable in the cable holder (

).
5. Insert the mains plug (

) into a properly installed plug socket that is easily acces-
sible.
