3. Getting Started
N.B.
Do not connect the record player to the power supply before the other connections and preparations
have been made.
3.1 Installing the balance weight – adjusting the pickup pressure.
The balance weight is not mounted upon delivery and is packaged separately.
1. Slide the weight to the end and rotate it anticlockwise until it clicks into place.
. Rotate the metal ring clockwise so that the white line is seen on the arm.
3. Turn the black ring so that
0
is facing upwards.
4. Set the desired balance weight by rotating the metal ring anticlockwise. The recommended weight is
from to 4 grams.
3.2 Adjusting the anti-skating compensator
- Adjust the anti-skating knob (1) for to the same value as the balance weight setting.
3.3 Inserting the remote control’s batteries.
1. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control by sliding it straight down.
. Insert x LR03/AAA batteries (not included). Make sure to insert the batteries according to the markings
in the battery compartment.
3. Replace the battery cover.
3.4 Connecting to an amplifier
In order for the record player to be used it must first be connected to an amplifier.
Since the record player has a built-in RIAA amplifier it should not be connected to the amplifier’s PHONO
input, but to an AUX or LINE IN input. If connected to a PHONO outlet the signal becomes overdriven with
bad sound as a result.
- Connect a low level cable (included) from the low level output (6) on the back of the record player to
the AUX or LINE IN input on an external amplifier (red contact = right, white = left).
