Installation
Fitting the F-connector and the seal onto
the coaxial cable
4. Bolt the UHF
dipole onto
the boom.
Responsible disposal
1. Thread the rubber seal onto the coaxial cable (sold separately).
2. Strip the coaxial cable and fold the braided shielding back
over the sheathing as pictured.
3. Twist the F-connector onto the coaxial cable.
Installing the aerial
1. Join the two
halves of
the boom
together.
2. Fasten the angled
bracket onto
the boom.
3. Insert
the reflectors
into the angled
bracket and
fasten them
in place.
5. Insert and join
together the ends
of the VHF dipole.
6. Connect the aerial
cable to the aerial
and cover
the connection with
the rubber seal.
Make sure that
the F-connector is
screwed on tightly
and that the seal is
watertight.
7. Grip the aerial cable
in the clamp on
the reflector.
8. Clamp the aerial
to the mast (sold
separately) using
the u-bolt and
the two wing nuts.
