3. Carefully open the housing and insert the supplied
batteries. Refer to the markings in the battery holder to
ensure correct polarity.
4. Put the housing back together again, refit the accent
ring and the clip and screw it tight.
Measuring temperature
1. Aim the thermometer at the object to be measured.
2. Hold the [ PRESS ] button in to perform a temperature
measurement. The current temperature and the word
“SCAN” will be shown on the display.
3. Release the button, the measured temperature
and the word “HOLD” will be shown on the display.
The temperature is shown for about 15 seconds before
the thermometer automatically shuts off.
Changing units of temperature
Carefully press the button
at the bottom of the hole
using an appropriate object
(e.g. a paper clip) to toggle
between °C and °F.
Note: The units of measure-
ment of previously measured
tempera tures cannot be
changed.
