SMART CABLE STATUS LIGHTS
JUMPSTART THE VEHICLE BATTERY
ALWAYS carry out the following preliminary checks:
• Switch off the vehicle ignition and ALL ancillary equipment (lighting,
radio etc.)
• Ensure the vehicle battery is rated at 12V and is not damaged in any
way.
• Ensure the area is well ventilated.
• Make sure that the device is at least 75% charged (3 power indicator
lights are lit).
1. Switch the ignition to ‘start’
FOR A MAXIMUM OF 6 SECONDS)
. If the engine
does not start within this time, SWITCH OFF the ignition and
WAIT FOR AT
LEAST 3 MINUTES BEFORE TRYING AGAIN.
2. Once the engine is running, disconnect the clamps within 30 seconds,
BLACK clamp FIRST, then disconnect the RED clamp.
3. Leave the vehicle engine running for a while to let the alternator recharge
the battery.
