5. Using the Tap

a. Touch ‘Start’ to start flushing. Carbon dioxide will then flow through the unit and
can be heard at the tap.
b. After about 10 seconds touch ‘Stop’ to stop flushing and then press ‘Next’ to
continue with commissioning.
6. A prompt will appear on the display asking you to flush the filter. A container with
a capacity of about 10 litres will be needed to collect the water.
a. Open the service hatch on the front of the unit. Place the end of the plastic hose
in the collecting container and open the valve on the hose.
b. Touch ‘Start’ to start flushing.
c. Allow about 10 litres of water to drain out and then touch ‘Stop’ to stop flushing.
Close the valve on the hose and touch ‘Next’.
7. Using a 6 mm Allen key or a large flat blade screw driver to adjust the flow rate of
sparkling water to 1.6 l/min at the carbonation valve.
a. Rotate the adjustment screw “A” clockwise to decrease the flow.
b. Rotate the adjustment screw “A” anti-clockwise to increase the flow.
To measure the flow rate you have set, use a measuring cup or jug and run the spar-
kling water for 15 seconds. (The HydroTap has a default 15 seconds dispense time,
which will help in your flow rate set up.) Multiply the amount of water dispensed in
that 15 seconds by 4 to get your flow rate in litres per minute. 1.6 litres per minute is
the optimum flow rate.
Note: If you adjust the flow rate too high, you will empty the carbonation can of
water leaving only CO
2
to be dispensed from the tap.
Take care NOT to use excessive force during adjustment of the valve.
8. The unit will then be in normal operating mode. Tap chilled and sparkling water for
one minute each to completely flush the appliance.
9. Register the appliance with the customer service department online at
www.clage.com.
Note: If the drinking water system has not been used for several days, allow the
tap to run cold water for about five minutes.
Operation
Classic
Press the blue ‘chilled’ lever to dispense cold water. Pull the lever up to dispense cold
water continually. The water will flow for 5 to 15 seconds. This time can be set in the
menu. The lever then has to be manually returned to the Off position.
Press the blue ‘sparkling’ lever to dispense sparkling water with carbon dioxide added.
Pull the lever up to dispense sparkling water continually. The water will flow for 5
to 15 seconds. This time can be set in the menu. The lever then has to be manually
returned to the Off position.
Arc
Select the desired type of water by tipping to on the Select button on the ZIP lever at
the tap.
• Blue: chilled water
• White: sparkling water
Turn the lever to dispense water. When the lever is turned back, water will flow as
long as the lever is held. If the lever is turned forwards, water will flow continually for
5 to 15 seconds. This time can be set in the menu. The lever then has to be manually
returned to the Off position.
