This troubleshooting information describes the most common alarms and gives 
typical symptoms, causes, and items to check before contacting Customer Service.

Equipment Needed 

The following equipment may be needed to perform some troubleshooting 
procedures: 

 

Fiber optic ferrule cleaner, current part number 468517, to clean fiber optic 
connectors 

 

99% alcohol and lint free wipes to clean fiber connectors 

 

Optical power meter to measure light levels 

 

Proper fiber connector for optical power meter to make optical connections 

 

Spectrum analyzer or a field strength meter to measure RF levels
