Console Port
See Figure 5 on page 22 for the console port location.
The router features a single asynchronous console port for connecting a console or PC directly to the router. To configure
the router locally, using the command-line interface (CLI), you must establish a connection to the router with a terminal
session.
Note: The router also supports wireless console connections with an internal WiFi short-range access point. For more
information, see WiFi Short-Range Access Point, page 32 .
Console Port Default Settings
The console port does not support hardware flow control. The default settings for the port are: 9600 baud, 8 data bits,
no parity, and 1 stop bit.
