Additional features of the AVID2 Amplifier:
Introduction:
The Clever Little Box ‘AVID2’ is a simple and highly compact, yet powerful Stereo Amplifier,
installed to provide sound reinforcement for voice and/or music reinforcement in your classroom/
boardroom.
A wide range of auxiliary audio visual devices (such as CD, DVD, MP3, laptop, video, etc) can be
interfaced with the AVID2 Amplifier to provide sound reproduction throughout the whole room,
ensuring the whole class/audience hears the sound source clearly.
Additional Features of the AVID2 Amplifier:
• Bluetooth Connectivity -
The AVID2 incorporates a Bluetooth Receiver Module, allowing wireless connected audio
playback via devices enabled with Bluetooth version 2.1 via A2DP profile such as, laptops
smartphones, tablets, iPods, etc...
A blue LED on the front panel provides a visual indication of Bluetooth function as follows:
Blink = Pairing mode
Solid = Connected
If multiple units are to be used within a single location such as a school or in the home, each
unit is supplied with a unique I.D to identify which AVID2 to connect to once selected the pairing
code is used to pair your transmitter. The Bluetooth signal will operate within a range of approx
10m depending on the environment in which the AVID2 is to be installed.
• Audio Signal Inputs –
There are two different ‘Line’ inputs on the front faceplate of the AVID2 Amplifier:
- 2 x Stereo Phono inputs
- 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Jack input
Both are standard connectors and linking cables from your audio device (CD, MP3, etc) are
commonly available.
‘Priority’ Input. NB. The 3.5mm Jack input has ‘priority’ over the Stereo Phono inputs; this means
that if signals are connected to both inputs, the 3.5mm Jack input signal will override (or ‘take
priority’).
• ‘Hard-wired’ Audio Signal Input –
An additional audio signal may have been ‘hard-wired’ (permanently connected) to the rear
connections of your AVID2 amplifier (for example, if a TV, DVD player or computer is a permanent
fixture in the room).
This audio input is wired in parallel with the 3.5mm Jack input on the front of your AVID2 main
unit. Therefore, if the hard-wired source is playing at the same time as the plugged-in source,
both signals will give a ‘mixed’ output (i.e. will play at the same time, with a jumbled effect). This
is easily rectified by stopping, pausing or switching off one of the two media players.
