CORAL-S
5. Turn the functions’ switch SW1 in the position 3, it enables the
Wak-Test
function.
In this condition the barrier generate sounds related to the variation in the microwave beam.
During this operation you can change the parameters (
sensitivity SW5
and type of
answer
SW6
).
Every disturbance (variation) of the microwave signal make the activation of the sound.
The sound is intermittent and the frequency of intermittence depends to the magnitude of the
disturbance on the microwave beam.
If the frequency of the intermittence increases, means that the disturbance magnitude
increases (indicate more penetration of one intruder), if the intermittence decreases, means
that the disturbance magnitude decreases.
If the disturbance magnitude exceeds the alarm threshold the sound will be continuous. Using
this system it’s possible to find the real beam’s dimension and if some disturbances are
present.
Press the button S1 to obtain the alignment quality (see point “j”), this is very useful during the
maintenance operations.
If the walk test doesn’t satisfy the protection requirements, it is possible to adjust the
sensitivity using the
SW5
switch.
The default conditions of
SW5
is
“7”
that is often the optimal regulation. If it’s necessary
increase the sensitivity set SW5 in these position :
“8” , “9” , “A” , “B” , “C” , “D” , “E” ,
“F”.
If it’s necessary decrease the sensitivity set SW5 in these position :
“6” , “5” , “4” , “3” , “2”
, “1”
, “0”.
The change of the beam, changes the dimension of the sensible beam.
Therefore the increase (if too high) of sensitivity could increase the probability of the false
alarm, the decrease (if too low) of sensitivity could cause the difficult ability of the barrier to
notice the presence of an intruder.
The default of the “Type of Answer” is “5” set on the SW6 Switch that is often the best
adjusting. If it’s necessary to modify the default setting, change the position of the SW6 switch
