Holding the lamp from the anode end, carefully unscrew and remove the cathode nut
(Figure 1/F).
j.
Holding the lamp from the anode end, carefully slide the lamp out ensuring not to make con-
tact with the reflector (Figure 1/A). With your free hand to help guide the cathode end out of
the reflector, on an angle.
k. Before placing the old lamp into its protective case ensure the cathode nut is reinstalled. Place
the lamp, within its case, on the floor where it cannot fall or be bumped.
WARNING! Han-
dle box with extreme caution - the lamp is hazardous even when packaged. Dis-
pose of the lamp box according to local area safety regulations.

With the lamp removed, visually inspect the reflector for dust. If necessary, clean the reflector.

Remove the top lid:
a.
Using a #2 Phillips
™
,
loosen the seven captive screws
securing the lid to the projector housing. (Figure 2)
b. Unlock the rear access door.
c. Lift the lid up from the rear of the projector and pull it
away from the two tabs on the front cover.
4.
Remove safety shield:
Loosen the three thumbscrews from
the safety shield and remove.
5.
Remove the lamp blower assembly:
a.
Disconnect the two lamp blower harnesses. When dis-
connecting ensure the center tab on the harness is
pressed down before pulling out. Improperly discon-
necting could cause the actual harness connectors to
come loose. if this occurs insert the connector on an
angle (Figure 3/1), use a slotted screwdriver to force
the opposite edge into the structure (Figure 3/2) and manually push it into the center structure
(Figure 3/3).
