TROUBLESHOOTING
If any problems occur, please run through the check list below after making sure:
- Both units are switched on.
- Both units are correctly connected to the mains adaptor, plugged into the power socket, or that the batteries are fully charged.

Power indicator [2-coloured
LED – orange/red: (a) Fixed
Orange: battery is charged
and working properly; (b)
fixed red: low battery]
on the transmitter (child
unit) is OFF.
Transmitter (child unit) is off, bat-
teries are dead and/or the adaptor
is disconnected from the mains, or
there is a power cut.
Check that the ON/OFF button is pressed to ON, that the batteries
are charged, that the adaptor is correctly connected to the mains
and that the mains socket receives power.
There is no sound from the
receiver (parent unit).
No sound is received from the
transmitter (child unit);
The volume on the receiver (par-
ent unit) is too low;
The transmitter child unit and the
receiver (parent unit) are set to
different transmission channels;
The units are too far away from
each other
The batteries are dead
- In the first case, there is no problem. As soon as any noise/sound
is picked up the transmitter will be activated. In any case, to make
sure it works, asks someone to speak into the transmitter in the
child’s room to make sure you are receiving properly.
Turn the volume adjuster on the receiver volume until you hear
the sounds/noise.
Set the same transmission channel on the transmitter child unit
and the receiver (parent unit).
Place the units closer together.
Replace the batteries
Interference
This can be caused by the presence
of another similar device transmit-
ting in the vicinity.
Electromagnetic pollution (vicin-
ity to transmitting radio aerials,
high voltage cables etc).
Change the transmission channel on both units;
There is no solution, except moving away from this position.
Decrease in operating range
Presence of obstacles, metal struc-
ture, reinforced concrete walls etc.
between the transmitter child unit
and the receiver (parent unit).
The batteries are dead
Bring the units closer together or reposition them to reduce the
number of obstacles, metal structures, reinforced concrete walls
etc. between them.
Replace the batteries on the receiver (parent unit)/transmitter
(child unit) or connect the units to the main using the adaptors
provided.
Electrostatic or electromag-
netic noise
Electrostatic or electromagnetic
interference due to electrostatic
or electromagnetic fields emitted
by other electrical appliances: e.g.
white goods, mobile or cordless
phones etc.
Identify and, where possible, remove the source of interference.
Presence of hissing or whis-
tling
The units are too close together
Receiver volume (parent unit) is
too high.
Move the units further apart;
Turn down the receiver (parent unit) volume.
