This product is designed for removing material using abra-
sives. No other use permitted.

General Operation Safety
Before Starting to Work
1.
Free speed check
• The speed, measured at a pressure of 6.3 bars / 90
PSIG, must not be higher than the rated speed
marked on the grinder.
• Remove the grinding wheel and the outer flange be-
fore doing the free speed check.
• Do free speed checks daily and especially after a
long period of no use.
• Make sure that the speed marking on the tool is
readable.
• Return the tool for repair when it is over-speeding.
2.
Wheel guard check
• Always use the recommended wheel guard and
make sure that it is not damaged.
• Never use a grinder without the wheel guard.
• Put the wheel guard between yourself and the grind-
ing wheel.
• Check the wheel guard is properly secured.
3.
Trigger check
• Make sure that the trigger works correctly.
• Replace the trigger if it does not work correctly.
• Never remove the trigger or lock it with tape.
4.
Maximum speed check
• Make sure that the stated maximum speed of the
grinding wheel is higher than or equal to the speed
marked on the grinder.
5.
Grinding wheel check
• Make sure that the grinding wheel is not cracked or
damaged in any way.
• Make sure that the grinding wheel have the correct
hole dimensions and is attached correctly on the
spindle to prevent unbalanced vibrations.
• Remove and replace damaged grinding wheels im-
mediately.
• Do not use dropped or damaged wheels, since they
can cause serious injuries.
6.
Flange and wheel check
• Always disconnect the air supply when changing the
flange or the wheel, or adjusting the tool.
• Make sure that the flange and wheel combinations
correspond to national regulations.
• Make sure that the flange is clean and not damaged.
• Attach the flange with the recommended tightening
torque.
• Always use safety screw. To avoid over tightening
when installing a new abrasive, the safety screw
must be tightened by hands only.
• Do a test-run of the grinder in a protected area after
assembly of the wheel.
• Make sure that the grinder works correctly.
7.
Personal protection equipment
Make sure the operators use:
• Eye protection, goggles or a visor.
• Ear protection
• Gloves
• Steel toe-capped shoes
• Protective clothing, such as a leather apron.
• A helmet (for heavier applications)
• Do not use loosely hanging clothing, hair or jew-
ellery (risk of getting caught).
8.
Working area
Make sure that the working area is kept free from other
people so that no one can get injured.
• People nearby must wear hearing and eye protection.
• Make sure that the ventilation and dust extraction in
the premises are sufficient.
• Make sure that it is a stand or a place available to
put the tool safely.
• Work within a sealed-off area, with protective walls
if possible. There is a risk that broken discs fly off.
During Work
Stop using the tool if abnormally loud noises and vibrations
occur during use.
This tool and its accessories must not be modified in any
way.
After the work is finished
WARNING The stopping time may be longer than 5
seconds.

Make sure that the tool is switched off and has come
to a complete stop before it is laid down.
►
The stopping time is dependent on the abrasive
used.
Put down the tool carefully, so that there is no risk that the
tool starts by itself.
