Never lay the shear down until the motor has come to a complete
stop. The tool may create unforseen risk while the motor cycles down.

Never leave the shear unattended when it is plugged into an electrical
outlet. Turn off the tool, and unplug it from its electrical outlet before
leaving.

Always unplug the shear from its electrical outlet before performing an
inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
