The fan speed is independent of the engine
speed and the gearshift to low gear will
not promote the cooling effects of the fan.
Therefore, it’s unnecessary to shift to low
gear provided that the engine runs
smoothly and the vehicle speed has no
obvious reduction on upward slopes.
