14.  PULSE: Press PULSE for short bursts of power. PULSE is activated as long as 

the button is pressed. PULSE action will cease as the button is released. Time 

the PULSES so that blades come to a complete stop before pressing the PULSE 

button again. 

15.  Press the STOP button AT ANY TIME to cease operation.
16.  When blending is complete, press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to OFF (O). 
17.  Allow the motor to come to a complete STOP before removing jar from the 

motor base.

  

18.  CAUTION:

 Never place the jar on the motor base or remove jar from the motor 

base while the Bar Blender is operating.

19.  Unplug the Bar Blender when not in use and before cleaning.
20.  Do not leave the power switch on overnight.

IMPORTANT – HOT BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS

Note:

 To minimize the possibility of being scalded when blending hot materials, the 

following precautions and procedures must be observed.

Note:

  Not recommended to blend hot material

1.  Hot materials are said to be 100°F or hotter
2.  Limit the amount of materials processed to 16oz
3.  Completely remove the Lid Cap (center portion) of the two-piece jar lid before 

operation. This will allow venting of the rapidly heated and expanded air inside 

the jar when blending.

4.  Always start blending on LOW and then progress to LOW or HIGH speed.
5.  Never stand directly over this appliance when it is being started or while 

blending. 

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any 

servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualified 

appliance repair technician. 

SAFETY AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Thermal Protection: Safety Shut-Off

1.  Under conditions of continuous and/or heavy use, your Chef Built Commercial 

Bar Blender is equipped with a manual reset thermal protector or safety shut-

off feature that turns the Bar Blender OFF (O) to prevent the motor from 

overheating.

2.  In the event of a Safety Shut-Off, press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to OFF (O) 

and unplug from the electric outlet. 

3.  Lift the jar from the motor base, remove ingredients to lessen the load, and allow 

the motor to cool down.  

4.  Place the jar on the motor base. 
5.  Plug the power cord back into the outlet, press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to 

ON (I) and continue blending.
