3 SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
3.1 CONFIG.FREQUENCY / DISTANCE KEY
The first function of the CONFIG.FREQUENCY key is very important as it enables you to :
- before the measurement, read and modify all the measurement parameters
(measurement mode, output voltage, measurement frequency …) ;
- during the measurement and in MANUAL mode, modify the measurement frequency (3P
and resistivity measurement) or the polarity of the measurement current (continuity
measurement).
The "CONFIG" symbol is displayed on the screen so long as the function is active.
The parameter to be modified is selected by successively pressing the
CONFIG
DISTANCE
CONFIG
CONFIG
DISTANCE
key.
The parameter is modified by pressing the
and
keys.
The following parameters can be modified :
During resistivity / continuity measurement - MANUAL or AUTO mode possible:
- in AUTO mode (automatic inversion of measurement current polarity) :
choice of a 2 wire or 4 wire measurement ;
- in MANUEL mode :
choice of a 2 wire or 4 wire measurement,
choice of measurement current polarity.
Mode
Modifiable parameters
MANUAL mode
2 wires or 4 wires
+DC or -DC
AUTO mode
2 wires or 4 wires in +/-DC
During 3 pole earth measurement - MANUAL or AUTO mode possible:
- in AUTO mode (the measurement frequency is selected directly by the instrument according
to the spurious frequencies identified);the earth coupling measurement is not possible.
choice of output voltage : 16 or 32V ;
- in MANUAL mode :
choice of earth measurement or earth coupling measurement (EARTH / EARTH COUPLING),
choice of measurement frequency (55-92-110-119-128- 476Hz- Usr
(1)
(41…512Hz)),
choice of output voltage : 16 or 32V.

EARTH or EARTH COUPLING
measurementF : 55-92-110-119-128- 476 Hz - Usr (41…512Hz)
Output voltage : 16 or 32V
AUTO mode
Output voltage : 16 or 32V
During resistivity measurement :
Choice of resistivity calculation method : Wenner or Schlumberger,
Choice of output voltage : 16 or 32V,
Choice of measurement frequency (55-92-110-119-128- 476Hz- Usr

(1)
The "USr" frequency is defined by the user for between 41 and 512Hz using the
keys.
